Dear Dancers,

our Congress for this year is getting nearer and nearer!

We have a wide variety of Teachers and Subjects from Aparima (Tahitian Dance) to Veils. Some of the subjects are already good booked, so hurry up if you want to be a part of this wonderfull weekend from 29. to 31. July 2011.

Dance Day 29th April 2011

At 29th of April, as every year since 1982, the official Dance Day will be celebrated all over the world by millions of dancers. It is an initiative of the International Dance Council CID, UNESCO.

Guest Teacher Katjusha Kozubek

Katjusha is coming in October for the first Part of the Romany Dance Project in Halle (Saale). We will start with the Dances of the Eastern European Roman People. Dark Fusion Dance
Beginners Class for Dark Fusion / Tribal Fusion / Gothic Bellydance Classes for A1 Beginners with no dance experience. This class does not yet have the focus on bellydance themes, it just starts at the beginning.

Tribal Fusion Dance
New class at Level A3 for people knowing all basics about bellydance and Tribal Fusion. There are only few spaces for this class. Technique and Improvisation is as well on the Schedule für this class.

Mowashahat
New class for this historic Spanish-Arabian Dance open for all Levels, including Beginners with no dance experience. This class can be booked within Spanish-Arabian Dance Project as well.

Oriental Dance
New Class for Oriental Dance Technique for Beginners Level in Halle.

Spanish-Arabian Dance Project
New Stage Project starting in September for the next Year. Spanisch-Arabian Dances including Mowashahat, Gypsy Dances and Arabic Flamenco will be covered in this project. Just write me an e-mail concerning this and I'll keep you informed.

Romany Dance Project
Part 1 of Romany Dance Project with well-known Dancer and Singer Katjusha Kozubek will start in October. The first Weekend will cover Russian Gypsy Dances for a whole weekend. Just write me an e-mail concerning this and I'll keep you informed.

Gothic Bellydance Project
The new Weekend-Schedules for the Gothic Bellydance Project will come up in Fall and new Dancers are welcome to join us for this interesting Project. Photos from the current Gothla can be found in the Forum.

Dancing Sister Congress
The next Dancing Sistern Congress will take part at the last weekend in July 2011. A lot of different Dance Styles und Themes around Dancing will be offered at this Event. Up to date information can be found in the Forum or via e-Mail from Maharet.

WinterDanceWeek Intensive
Because of beeing ill, some of the schdules for WDW have changed. Please find all new Information in the Forum. The Voting for Part II of WDW, taking part in Rheinland-Pfalz is online, too. Choose your favourite themes and subjects for Febuary. Everybody is welcome to take part in voting and WDW.

Bellydance-Weekend with Bambi Sahab at 16./17. January 2010
In the middle of January Bambi Sahab from Heidelberg (Studio Tarab) visites us at Atelier Oriental in Leipzig, she's bringing a lot of new input concerning Bellydance, Rhythms, Floorword and Sword Dance. There are still spaces for you. On Saturday evening there will be a Leylat for all interested dancers. Please remember that dancers from abroad have the opportunity to stay in the studio over night. Gothic Bellydance Project at 30/31. January 2010
At the end of January the next Gothic Bellydance Weekend takes part at Atelier Oriental in Leipzig. There is one free space for saturday's schedule with a Gothic Bellydance Choreography. Sundays are only for members of the whole project, as usual. You can look forward to a fast and interesting choreography.

Upcoming Events
Please remember the Journey through Egypt Projekt with Sahra Saeeda (USA), taking part in March 2010, there are only few spaces left and I would warmly recommend this project to everyone interested in Egyptian Dance. Dancers from abroad have the opportunity to stay in the studio over night, as usual.

Guest Teachers 2010

Dear Dancers,

please find attached current information for the upcoming projects with guest teachers from all around the world for 2010. I'm very proud to introduce you the following events:

From 19. to 21. March 2010 comes Sahra Saeeda (USA) for her Journey through Egypt Project to our studio in Leipzig (Germany). Sahra is one of my main teachers for years now and I can really recommend her lessons to any dancer who is interested in Egyptian Dance. Subject for JtE in 2010 will be cultural and historic information as well as knowledge about costumes and dancing. I am really looking forward to this!

From 23. to 24. October 2010 Katjusha Kozubek will teach for the Romany Dance Project in our Studio. Romany Dances are one of my favourite styles. I know Katjusha for years and she is one of the best teachers in the subject of Eastern European Romany Dances. On this weekend there will be several Workshops which can be booked seperately or as a compete package.

I will also inform you about Zarifa Zafira's Golden Age Bellydance Project with Prof. Hassan Khalil from Egypt, which will take part from 09. to 11. July 2010 in Leipzig. Subject will be the Golden Age of Bellydance with the Movements in style of the 40th years. Dear Dancers

this is the Webblog from Alexandra Schwarz also known as Maharet while dancing. I dance and teach Oriental Dance, Folklore and Fusion Styles as well as Historic and Hawaiian Dance at several Festivals and Workshops throuhout Europe.

With a dance experience of over 25 years now in several dance styles, I teach my classes with special focus on health aspects. My classes are wellkowon for their good concepts and interesting subjects.
